The e-mail address in my profile is my Gmail one (Not overloaded yet!), which sent me your message, so I suppose it is still active.

As for any KM event in Malaysia, I have to admit I have no clue :(

However, there is one learning event that looks interesting, which is:

LYICT 2008: An International Conference on ICT and Learning for the Net Generation
7-11 July 2008, Kuala Lumpur
http://cidt.oum.edu.my/lyict

Hopefully you can make it :)

All the BEST!ZaidLearnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17621097605357272748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421717067893938118.post-53574285751546636662008-04-21T12:32:00.000+08:002008-04-21T12:32:00.000+08:00Dear Stian (houshuang),Thanks for sharing your ref...Dear Stian (houshuang),

Thanks for sharing your reflections :)

I am not sure if it is a great series yet, as I have only posted part 1. But I do hope that we learn and improve as we move forward (or backwards) :)

As for Gogy-theories, I will try to avoid talking about them, because there are so many of them. You even have Technogogy today (Google it and find out!) :)

As you said, if we do a bit of self/peer-evaluation and reflection, I am sure that we all can improve. At least students might not be falling asleep in class :)

We all are teachers (class, home, office, community, family, etc.) whether we like it or not, so it is always worthwhile to explore new methods and techniques.

I am still learning, too :)

Cheers!ZaidLearnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17621097605357272748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421717067893938118.post-21545479127559451902008-04-20T13:21:00.000+08:002008-04-20T13:21:00.000+08:00Zaid,Great blog. Or maybe my email got lost somehow. At any rate, I wanted to ask about the most important KM event in Malaysia worth traveling to this summer. How many event are there and which one do you think I should choose?Joe Ken Gus Sighedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116044213561267680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421717067893938118.post-52415413913123387072008-04-18T21:45:00.000+08:002008-04-18T21:45:00.000+08:00Zaid, great series, I'll be following with interes...Zaid,
great series, I'll be following with interest. Being currently in university, but having taught English in China for a year, and currently being a TA, I have ample opportunity to reflect on my own teaching and learning, and I think that every university instructor should spend time alone and with peers reflecting on their teaching process - we can always improve.

I also often thought that the field of "university pedagogics" seemed to be quite underdeveloped (compared to K12 teaching etc). I wanted to switch university pedagogics with andragogics in my previous sentence, but I didn't, because I think there is a lot of great scholarship about adult education, life-long learning etc... But I am not sure that profs feel that is relevant to their own teaching - or are even aware of it...houshuanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14242505785514771104noreply@blogger.com
